Jason Sudeikis, who plays the lead on Ted Lasso and is also the series' co-creator, recently spoke about the possibility of producing a 5th and 6th season of the acclaimed comedy. The statement, given on the Talk Easy podcast hosted by Sam Fragoso, came just days after the end of the 4th season's broadcast on October 7th.

When asked about the possibility of continuing the story, Sudeikis stated that he would like to do more seasons, but stressed that the decision depends on several factors. "I would like to, but it takes a whole team," the actor declared, referring to the collective work necessary to bring new episodes to life.

Regarding Apple's willingness to produce more episodes, the co-creator expressed optimism. "I would assume so," he replied. However, when asked directly about the series' continuation, he was more cautious: "I simply don't know."

Sudeikis also clarified that there are no concrete plans underway. "We haven't even started a writers' room or anything like that yet," he stated.

During the conversation, Fragoso recalled that Sudeikis didn't have a definite idea for the fourth season before he started developing it. At the time, the actor had commented that he was creatively exhausted after the third season of the series. When asked if a similar process could result in two more seasons, he joked: "Well, we'll need a bigger glass."

Despite the uncertainties, Sudeikis did not rule out the possibility of returning to the show. He said that, after a long break following the third season, he continued to mentally hear the characters' voices and, later, began to imagine new voices. Among them were those of the women on the team introduced in the third season. "I think it would be fun," the actor concluded.
