'Harry Potter' Season 2 Casts Young Voldemort, Dobby, and New Ginny Weasley
Even before the first season premiered, new members of The Secret Chamber are announced

The highly anticipated Harry Potter HBO series has added three major new cast members for season 2.
According to Deadline, Bonnie Hill will take on the role of Ginny Weasley, Ron’s sister, replacing Gracie Cochrane, who will not return for the new season—her departure had been announced previously. The character will have a bigger role in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, when she becomes directly involved with Tom Riddle.
In addition, Billy Barratt has been cast as the young Voldemort, Tom Riddle.
Finally, Lenny Rush will play Dobby. HBO has not yet revealed how the house-elf will be brought to the screen, whether through CGI, motion capture, or prosthetics.

The upcoming HBO Max series is set to premiere at Christmas 2026 with eight episodes in its first season. Filming began last summer, and the production has already confirmed that the story will not be told solely from Harry’s point of view.
The confirmed cast includes Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter (a role played by Daniel Radcliffe in the movies), Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger (played by Emma Watson in the films), and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley (originally portrayed by Rupert Grint).John Lithgow will play Albus Dumbledore. The series will also bring back History of Magic classes with Professor Binns, played by Richard Durden, and will also move up the introduction of Lucius Malfoy, who will be played by Johnny Flynn.
