During an interview with Today this Wednesday (16), Kit Harington was asked about the controversies involving JK Rowling and the new series of HBO 's Harry Potter. The actor, cast as Gilderoy Lockhart, avoided commenting on the author's statements and preferred to highlight his personal relationship with the books.

"I've been a Harry Potter fan my whole life. I listen to the audiobooks every night, it helps me sleep. They're very important books to me," said Harington. He also defended the series adaptation. "I love the movies, but with the series they can explore the books to their fullest."
