'A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms' Season 2 Gets a Premiere Window
The new season is scheduled to arrive during the next Emmy eligibility window.

HBO has confirmed that the second season of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is scheduled to premiere within the next Emmy eligibility window, which ends on May 31, 2027. This information was given by Casey Bloys, head of HBO, during the 2026 Emmy Awards ceremony.
"For next year, we'll have a new season of The Pitt, a new season of The Gilded Age, White Lotus, a new season of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, a new season of I Love LA, and a new season of Rooster," Bloys told Deadline.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms was originally announced in 2023, and is written and produced by George RR Martin and Ira Parker (Better Things). Ryan Condal, who serves as showrunner on House of the Dragon, also produces the series.
The first season follows the exploits of the knight Ser Duncan the Tall (Peter Claffey) and his young squire, Egg (Dexter Sol Ansell), centuries before the events of Game of Thrones. Their journey will lead them to a competition where they will encounter several members of the Targaryen dynasty – including Prince Aerion Targaryen, Prince Baelor Targaryen, and Prince Maekar Targaryen – along with another knight known as the Laughing Storm, Ser Lyonel Baratheon, and a puppeteer named Tanselle.
The series' cast also includes Finn Bennett (True Detective: Night Country), Bertie Carvel (The Crown), Tanzyn Crawford (Tiny Beautiful Things), Daniel Ings (Sex Education) and Sam Spruell (Small Axe: Mangrove).
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is available on HBO and HBO Max.
