Following 'The Pitt', HBO Max is Developing a French Medical Drama
The series, tentatively titled Rush, follows medical teams responding to emergencies on the streets of Paris.

Following the success of The Pitt, HBO Max is developing a new medical drama in France. According to Deadline, the production has the working title Rush. The series was presented on The La Rochelle Fiction Festival will feature Neal Baer, a veteran writer and producer of ER, as executive producer. The project will consist of eight 45-minute episodes and will follow mobile medical teams responding to emergencies in different parts of Paris.
Created and written by Nils-Antoine Sambuc, with collaboration from Gaëlle Bellan, Maya Haffar, and Maxime Crupeaux, the production will show professionals racing against time to save lives while facing their own personal problems. Emergencies will take doctors to subway stations, homes, streets, and tourist spots in the French capital, with decisions that can have significant consequences for patients and the team itself.
The proposal is part of HBO Max's strategy to develop medical dramas in different markets following the success of The Pitt, which won six Emmys in 2026, including Best Drama Series.
