'Dexter' Series Gets Commemorative Poster for 20th Anniversary
Michael C. Hall appears as the iconic serial killer in the franchise’s commemorative artwork
It’s been 20 years since we first met Dexter Morgan, TV’s famous antihero and criminal-killing serial murderer played by Michael C. Hall. To celebrate the character’s journey, the franchise has received its first commemorative poster, highlighting Dexter two decades after his debut.
In the original series, released in 2006 by Showtime, Dexter works as a forensic analyst specializing in blood spatter patterns for the Miami police, but hides a second life. Following the so-called Harry’s Code, created by his adoptive father, he directs his violent urges toward other killers who managed to escape justice.

The show’s success, which ended in 2013 after eight seasons, gave rise to new stories. Dexter: New Blood arrived in 2021 as a continuation of the original series, while Dexter: Original Sin revisited the character’s youth in a prequel released in 2024.
Meanwhile, Dexter: Resurrection, released in 2025, picked up Michael C. Hall’s story after the events of New Blood. It’s worth noting that season 2 of this spin-off premieres on October 30 on Paramount+.
