The official synopsis presents the following story: set in a world devastated by a catastrophic cataclysm, a young earthbender discovers that she is the new Avatar, Korra’s successor. In this dangerous era, that title marks her as humanity’s destroyer, not its savior. Hunted by human and spirit enemies, she and her long-lost twin sister must uncover their mysterious origins and save the Seven Havens before the last bastions of civilization collapse.

In the cast, we’ll have Saheli Khan as Pavi, Aishu Devan as Nisha, Akshay Khanna as Karthik, Major Curda as Jae, Sakina Jaffrey as Agam, Darren Barnet as Daemin, Dianne Doan as Zi, and Dee Bradley Baker as Geet and Ruhi.

Seven Havens is being developed by Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, creators of the original series, for Avatar Studios.

Avatar: The Last Airbender, which premiered in 2005, originally followed the story of Aang, a child destined to master the four elements (Water, Earth, Fire, and Air) and bring balance to the saga’s fantasy world. Its sequel, The Legend of Korra, released in 2014, showed the journey of Aang’s first reincarnation, destined for the same role as him.

In addition to the two animated series, the franchise also includes the live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender, released by Netflix in 2024. Gordon Cormier plays Aang in the production, which has already aired its first seasons and has its third season filmed.

Avatar: Seven Havens premieres on Paramount+ on October 9. All 26 episodes will be released at once.
