Katy Perry releases 'Watch It Burn,' a track inspired by a difficult time

Katy Perry released her new single "Watch It Burn" on Thursday (25). In the video, Perry transforms into a hybrid scorpion-human creature in a destruction-filled sequence — watch above.

The track marks the singer's first new material since "Bandaids," released in November. According to Perry, the song came after the end of her relationship with Orlando Bloom and reflects a period in which she had to confront repressed emotions, especially anger.
