'The Mummy 4' Drops First Images of Brendan Fraser Back as Rick O'Connell

Brendan Fraser has appeared for the first time in images from the set of The Mummy 4, once again in character as the adventurer Rick O'Connell. Check out the images below!
The scene, filmed at a former military base in Suffolk, England, showed Rick putting on a helmet and taking the wheel of a rocket car.

This is the first time Fraser has reprised the role since 2008, when he appeared in The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor.

The Mummy 4 marks the return of Rachel Weisz, John Hannah and Brendan Fraser to the franchise. Filming was scheduled to begin in August.
Sean Daniel, who produced the original films, is returning to produce this new feature. The film is not being described as a reboot, but rather as a continuation of the franchise that will ignore the events of the third film, The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor.
The Mummy franchise, which revitalized Universal's monster, had its first film in 1999, grossing US$ 422.5 million, creating a successful franchise and turning Fraser into one of the leading actors of the time.
The Mummy 4 opens in theaters on October 15, 2027.
