David Corenswet Hints at a Change in Tone For 'Man of Tomorrow'

David Corenswet indicated that Man of Tomorrow will have a different tone from the first film. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight , the actor stated that the characters will be more mature and that the sequel will delve deeper into their stories, as well as introduce new action elements.

“The characters are a little more mature. They’re going to delve a little deeper,” said Corenswet. The actor also highlighted Nicholas Hoult ’s look as Lex Luthor, emphasizing the presence of the Warsuit: “Not to mention all the crazy stuff. Nicholas Hoult in the warsuit!”

After grossing more than $610 million and earning a strong critical reception, Superman will get a sequel in July 2027 titled Man of Tomorrow.

Once again directed and written by James Gunn, the film will bring back David Corenswet as Clark Kent, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, and Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane. German actor Lars Eidinger will be the one portraying the villain Brainiac.

In addition to them, the Justice Gang (Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, and Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho) is also expected to return, reprising their roles as the heroes

We also know that Lex Luthor will finally wear his powerful green armor in Man of Tomorrow. This will be the first time the equipment, used by the villain when he decides to take matters into his own hands, will appear in a live-action film.
