Jeremy Renner to Star in New Action Thriller '12 Bullets'

Jeremy Renner, nominated for an Oscar for The Hurt Locker and known for playing Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, will star in 12 Bullets, a new action film produced by Thunder Road, the company behind the John Wick franchise.

According to exclusive information from Deadline, the film also involves the British broadcaster Sky, which belongs to Comcast. International sales for the project begin next week during the American Film Market (AFM) in Los Angeles.

In the plot, a mysterious American must single-handedly confront rival criminal gangs that dominate the streets of London, a city known for its strict gun control laws. Armed with only a pistol and 12 bullets, he must make every shot count. The film will be directed by Sean Ellis (Anthropoid), working from a script written by Tim Walker.

The film is produced by Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee, the names behind John Wick. It will be released in the UK and Ireland as a Sky original production, while CAA Media Finance holds the distribution rights in North America.
