"I Was Offered Cocaine at Parties", Says Dafne Keen on Her Early Hollywood Days

In an interview on the Inside of You podcast, Dafne Keen, now 21, said she received offers of cocaine at Hollywood parties when she was only 11, 12, or 13 years old.

"I was offered cocaine at the end-of-year parties. Like, little. Like 11, 12, 13 years old. So I saw what it was, and I was like, 'I'm not very interested in that'... I was saying no, thankfully," she revealed to host Michael Rosenbaum. Keen, who gained prominence playing Laura/X-23 in Logan (2017), she explained that witnessing adult behavior from an early age kept her away from drugs and alcohol. "I think that, as a child actress, I witnessed so much that I simply wasn't interested."

Even as an adult, she maintains her sobriety. "I don't need that. I go out and stay out until 6 in the morning, but sober. For the vibe, because I like music, dancing, and the people," she said. In her teens, she even lied to avoid peer pressure: "I'd say I'd already had a drink, but I was 100% sober, the most uptight person in the world."

Regarding Hugh Jackman , her co-star in Logan and with whom she played a father figure, the actress heaped praise on him. "He gave me a lot of advice, he was always lovely. He's the best number one you could wish for and the best on-screen dad. He really acted like a parental figure, making sure nobody abused my schedule, that I had fun on set, and that I didn't notice the tensions behind the scenes. He was incredibly protective and amazing," she stated.

In addition to Logan, Keen starred in series His Dark Materials, appeared in The Acolyte, and will play the goddess Artemis in the third season of Percy Jackson & the Olympians. She also reprised her role as X-23 in Deadpool & Wolverine.
