A movie theater in Canada went viral on social media after displaying a completely handmade poster for Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The Famous Players location in Prince George didn’t receive the film’s official promotional materials in time for the premiere. That’s when employee Drake Landon decided to improvise and drew a poster inspired by the famous Spider-Man pointing meme from the 2010s. The artwork even included an apology for the absence of the official poster. Check it out below!

The artwork was a hit with the public, with a Reddit post surpassing 51,000 upvotes. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Landon said the reaction was “very unexpected” and that he still hasn’t been able to grasp just how far the drawing has gone. “It’s incredible that my art has reached so far for something so simple,” he said.

Cineplex, which owns Famous Players, also joined in on the fun and said the team “had a little fun” while waiting for the official materials for Spider-Man: Brand New Day to arrive.
