'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' Post-Credits Scene May Have Leaked

Days after reports that Spider-Man: Brand New Day will have a post-credits scene connected to Avengers: Doctor Doom, details of the scene started circulating online. According to Omelete's reporting, the details are accurate, so beware of spoilers after the video below.

According to the reports, and what Omelete was able to confirm, the post-credits scene in Spider-Man: Brand New Day plays with Ned's (Jacob Batalon)"Spider tracker", a device that tracks the hero's appearances and has been used in the team's marketing.

In the scene, the tracker would show to Ned that Spider-Man is no longer on Earth. Fans speculate that this is directly related to the Avengers movies, meaning Peter Parker (Tom Holland) would be in another universe. It's worth noting that Holland is not confirmed to star in Avengers: Doomsday, but he is frequently mentioned as the lead of Avengers: Secret Wars, to launch in 2027.

In addition to Holland returning as the lead, Batalon will be back as Ned, and Zendaya returns for the new Spider-Man movie as MJ. New additions include Sadie Sink (Stranger Things), confirmed in a role that has not yet been specified (though she is widely rumored to be Jean Grey).

Another confirmed cast member is Jon Bernthal as the Punisher, marking the hero's debut in Marvel movies. In addition, Mark Ruffalo is in the film as Hulk and will transform, for the first time in the MCU, into Gray Hulk, a larger and more dangerous version of the giant.

The official synopsis for Brand New Day has been released: "Fighting crime full-time as Spider-Man in a world that doesn’t remember him—and the pressure of seeing his old friends move on without him—sparks a change in Peter he may not have the power to control. But that transformation might also be the only thing that can stop a shocking new threat to the city and those he loves - a powerful villain no one can even see. The world may have forgotten Peter Parker, but he hasn’t forgotten them."

Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) is directing the project. Erik Sommers and Chris McKenna, who wrote Spider-Man: No Way Home, are also responsible for the upcoming film.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day arrives in theaters on July 31, 2026.
