Inde Navarrette to Star in New Apple Movie 'The Waffle House Index'

Actress Inde Navarrette, who was recently cast as Rogue in the new X-Men film, will star in The Waffle House Index, a production from Apple Original Films.

The project is written by Andrew Nunnelly, directed by Louis Paxton, and produced by Plan B. The story follows Jane, a night-shift employee at a Waffle House, as a storm approaches. 

The title refers to the index used by FEMA to measure the severity of natural disasters based on whether the restaurant chain remains open. In addition to starring, Navarrette will also serve as an executive producer.

The project entered development in August, and Apple reportedly moved quickly to secure the rights. The actress, who rose to prominence in Obsession (2025), also had roles in 13 Reasons Why and Superman & Lois.
