A new deleted scene from Supergirl was revealed this Thursday (30), showing Ruthye alongside her family. The scene itself runs for nearly 3 minutes and shows a bit more of the young girl’s relationship with her parents.

In the scene, which does not yet have its final effects completed, we see a bit of Ruthye’s day as she tries to tame an alien mount that seems unwilling to respond to her, before later interacting with the rest of the family.

Everything you need to know about Supergirl

Originally titled Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, the heroine’s film is now simply called Supergirl and will be a sci-fi epic based on the acclaimed saga of the same name written by Tom King and illustrated by Brazilian artist Bilquis Evely for DC Comics, with Supergirl not on Earth, but traveling through space in search of vengeance and justice — or parties.

Milly Alcock, who played the younger version of Rhaenyra in House of the Dragon, stars as Supergirl. Eve Ridley (3 Body Problem) will play Ruthye, and Matthias Schoenaerts (The Old Guard) plays the fearsome Krem.

Craig Gillespie (Cruella) is directing, with the screenplay by Ana Nogueira, originally hired by Warner to write a Supergirl film starring Sasha Calle, who played the character in an alternate world in The Flash.

Supergirl also features David Krumholtz and Emily Beecham as parents Zor-El and Alura In-Ze, respectively. Jason Momoa, who played Aquaman in DC’s former universe, now takes on the role of the mercenary Lobo.
