The 3D concert film Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour, which follows the tour for singer Billie Eilish’s third album, already has a date set for its streaming debut. The production, which grossed $27 million worldwide, premieres on Paramount+ next Thursday, August 6.
For now, that date applies only to the U.S.
The project is co-directed by the artist herself alongside Avatar creator James Cameron. Described as a new way to experience concerts in theaters, the feature follows the singer’s latest tour. According to Cameron, the film uses technologies never before applied in productions of this kind, promising a different level of scale and immersion.
Hit Me Hard and Soft is based on Billie Eilish’s third studio album, which received several Grammy nominations, including major categories such as Album of the Year and Song of the Year.
