David Fincher revealed that he cut 60 pages from the script for The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth, written by Quentin Tarantino. In an interview with Empire magazine, the director said that the first version of the script was 230 pages long and was practically equivalent to two films.

“Somewhere in there was the Venn diagram of what Brad wanted to do, what I wanted to do, what Quentin wanted to do,” Fincher explained, referring to the combination of creative visions involved in the project. After the cuts, the film ended up being approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes long.
