Jacob Tremblay Wants to Play Eren in a 'Attack on Titan' Live-Action
The actor is one of the voice actors in The Wild Forest, a film currently showing in theaters.
After voicing a character in stop-motion animation, Jacob Tremblay already knows what his dream role would be in a possible live-action film: Eren Yeager from Attack on Titan. The actor, who is part of the cast of The Wild Forest, made the revelation in an interview with Omelete.
The question was which character from other films or works they would like to voice. Tremblay admitted that the answer strayed a bit from the proposal, since it would be a live-action role, but he didn't give up. "If they had done a live-action Attack on Titan, I would have loved to be a part of it," he said. When asked if he would choose the protagonist, he was direct: it would be "a dream role."
The actor said he first saw the anime during the filming of The Wild Forest, while shooting another film in Bulgaria. Recently, Trembley confessed that he started rewatching the series with friends who hadn't seen it yet, and defines it as one of the "best shows of all time."
Check out the synopsis for the film The Wild Forest: "There's a hidden forest just outside the city, a place that doesn't appear on any map and from which they say no one returns. It's there that a flock of crows takes Prue's (Giulia Benite) brother, sent by a sorceress who needs him for her dark plans. Without thinking twice, Prue sets off for the Wild Forest to save him, alongside her friend Curtis. Inside, the two find a magical world, full of dangers, enchanted creatures, and ancient secrets."
The Wild Forest, the new animated film from LAIKA, is now showing in Brazilian cinemas.
