'Hunter x Hunter' Author Hints at Killua’s Return with New Artwork
Creator is working on manga chapter 429: “What’s wrong is the number of people,” says Togashi
After a long time away from the spotlight in Hunter x Hunter, Killua may be about to return to the manga with a bigger role in the story. Creator Yoshihiro Togashi shared new artwork of the character on social media while updating fans on the production of chapter 429. Check it out below!
The manga is currently focused on the Succession War Arc, with Kurapika at the center of the conflicts involving the princes of Kakin. The most recently published chapter is 418, while Togashi works on the next installments of the story. When sharing the image of Killua, the author also commented that he is having difficulties with the large number of characters in the next chapter.

Killua made a brief appearance in chapter 414, when he was shown living a quieter life alongside his sister, Alluka. Since then, the character has once again been absent from the main plot. The new artwork, therefore, reignites fan speculation about his return.
However, there is still no confirmation that Gon's best friend will play an active role in chapter 429 or in the upcoming events. Stay tuned to Omelete for updates!
