Did 'Zelda: Ocarina of Time' Remake Price and Date Leak?
GameStop listing caused confusion among some fans
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake still has very few details revealed beyond its 2026 release, and a GameStop listing left fans wondering about a possible release date and price for the Nintendo Switch 2 game.
A post claimed that the game would launch as early as August 8, priced at US$59.99. However, it’s all just a misunderstanding. As pointed out by leaker NateTheHate, who was responsible for the first leak about the game’s existence, Google is showing the price and date for Beast of Reincarnation, the upcoming title from Game Freak.
Of course, it’s not as if a leaker needed to explain the situation. Just click on Zelda’s GameStop page to see that nothing has been set yet regarding the title.
No, GameStop didn't leak the pre-order date nor price for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

For whatever reason, Google is pulling the release date & pricing information for Beast of Reincarnation, which releases on August 4th and standard edition retails for $59.99. pic.twitter.com/FWfF7ByUs3
Announced during June’s Nintendo Direct, the Ocarina of Time remake is slated for 2026 and, so far, all we know about it comes from a very short teaser that shows a still-young Link and gives an idea of what the game’s graphics will look like.
Still without a release date, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake will be exclusive to Nintendo Switch 2.
