EA Sports announced this Tuesday (20) the return of the Fight Night franchise. The studio made the news official with the slogan "The fight never ends", rekindling the expectation of boxing game fans.
The series, which succeeded Knockout Kings , had five issues released between 2004 and 2011 for various platforms. The titles were critically acclaimed and consistently topped the sales charts at the time.
To everyone who stayed in our corner: Fight Night is coming back. 🥊♥️ #FightNight https://t.co/THPwtB7hTC

The return comes after a period of uncertainty. Last month, Insider Gaming It was reported, based on sources, that plans for a reboot of the franchise had been canceled. Hope was renewed after the sale of EA Sports to a group led by the Public Investment Fund (PIF) of Saudi Arabia, which has a large stake in the boxing market.
The current industry landscape also favors the decision. EA Sports has already revived its college football franchise and launched the sixth installment of its UFC series this year.
Furthermore, the popularity of Steel City Interactive's Undisputed, the first licensed boxing game since the last Fight Night release, may have influenced the studio to bring the brand back.
