Paul Bettany Explains How 'VisionQuest' is Similar to 'WandaVision'

VisionQuest will have a clear connection to WandaVision, but not necessarily in the way fans expect. Actor Paul Bettany, who plays Vision, explained that the new series maintains the more experimental nature of the 2021 production.

According to the actor, the team created a "crazy" idea of ​​a mental space inside the character's head, with different environments and artificial intelligences that help him understand his own existence. For Bettany, just like in WandaVision, the series "is a big gamble" and has a "very peculiar and eccentric" approach.

The plot will follow the events of WandaVision, following the White Vision after recovering the memories of the old Vision and trying to discover who he is and what his path will be. The character will also be accompanied by Ultron, while Tommy Maximoff, son of Wanda and Vision, returns to the story.

VisionQuest was created by Terry Matalas, who also serves as showrunner, producer, and director. Paul Bettany returns as the title character and is joined by returning Marvel actors: James Spader as Ultron and Faran Tahir as Raza. Emily Hampshire will play the sophisticated artificial intelligence E.D.I.T.H. (Even Dead I'm The Hero ), Tony Stark’s (Robert Downey Jr.) augmented reality security and defense system.
