'Only Murders in the Building' Season 6 Gets Premiere Date and First-Look Images

Season 6 of Only Murders in the Building has set its premiere date. According to information exclusively revealed by Vulture, the series returns on December 8, about three months later than its usual premiere window, and the first images from the new season have also been released. In the new episodes, Mabel Mora (Selena Gomez), Oliver Putnam (Martin Short) and Charles Haden-Savage (Steve Martin) will leave New York to investigate a new mystery in London. The story begins with the passing of Cinda Canning (Tina Fey), who was investigating a case in the UK before her death.

Season 6 will feature a star-studded British cast, including Olivia Colman, David Tennant, Peter Capaldi, Jodie Whittaker, Geri Halliwell, Jennifer Saunders, Jane Horrocks, Nicola Coughlan, Richard Ayoade, Jamie Demetriou, Martin Freeman, and Jim Broadbent, among others.

According to showrunner and executive producer John Hoffman, the season will also include episodes set outside London, including a storyline in a country house. The production will further explore the British tradition of so-called “cozy mysteries,” blending that style with the true crime podcast universe that is already part of the series’ identity.
