Kingdom Hearts Will Get an Animated Series on Disney+

Kingdom Hearts fans were very well served at D23! In addition to the confirmation of a release window and the first Disney world that will appear in Kingdom Hearts 4, an animated series set in the franchise’s universe was also revealed.

With few details shared, the production will be available on Disney+ and still does not have a premiere date. The only image released so far indicates that the protagonist will not be Sora, but rather some mysterious character.

Kingdom Hearts is a blend of Disney universes, such as Hercules and Toy Story, with characters created by Square Enix, the company behind Final Fantasy. The game series is already more than 20 years old and is extremely influential in contemporary action RPGs.
