HBO’s upcoming true-crime limited series The Trial of Louise Woodward has expanded its ensemble cast with the additions of Jack Reynor, John Magaro, and Natalia Dyer. Created and written by showrunner Matthew Barry, the project dramatizes the high-profile 1997 murder trial involving an 18-year-old British au pair accused of shaking an infant to death while in the care of an American host family.

Reynor (Midsommar, The Mummy) joins the production as lead prosecutor Gerry Leone, while Magaro (Past Lives, The Agency) has been cast as prominent defense counsel Barry Scheck. Dyer (Stranger Things) will portray Middlesex County assistant district attorney Ada Lynn Rooney. The trio joins lead actor Catriona Chandler, who stars in the title role as Woodward.

Susanne Bier (The Undoing) is set to direct all episodes and executive produce alongside Barry, Frank Spotnitz, Emily Feller, Tobi de Graaff, and Antoine Douaihy.

Produced by Big Light Productions and Anton TV, the series details the legal proceedings and subsequent international public reaction following the death of eight-month-old Matthew Eappen in Massachusetts.
