Netflix has just announced the premiere date for the second season of the adult animated series Blue Eye Samurai.
The new season of the show will arrive on the streaming service's catalog on January 19, 2027, more than three years after the premiere of the first season in November 2023.
Everything you need to know about Blue Eye Samurai
Blue Eye Samurai is an animated series created by Amber Noizumi and Michael Green and released in November 2023. Set in Edo-period Japan, it follows Mizu, a young mixed-race woman with blue eyes who, marked by her rise to the margins of society, dedicates her life to avenging herself against the four white men present in the country when she was born—among them, possibly her father.
The series boasts a star-studded voice cast: Maya Erskine plays Mizu, along with Brenda Song, Masi Oka, Darren Barnet, George Takei, Kenneth Branagh, and Randall Park.
The episodes of the first season of Blue Eye Samurai are available on Netflix. The second season arrives on January 19, 2027.
