My Chemical Romance Hints at New Album After 15-Year Hiatus

My Chemical Romance may be preparing a new album. During a show in San Antonio, Texas, vocalist Gerard Way stated that the band "always wanted to make another record" since their reunion in 2019. However, the rock group has not yet officially announced a new project or revealed when it might arrive.

Since their return, it's worth remembering that My Chemical Romance has only officially released the song "The Foundations of Decay" in 2022.

Way explained that the death of Doug McKean, a friend and collaborator of the band, changed the group's plans at that time, but said that the desire to return to the studio remains. "We've kind of always wanted to make another record, so hopefully life will allow us to do that," he stated. The singer also spoke directly to the fans: "You deserve another record and we would love to do it. I don't know when it will be, but it will be amazing."

Therefore, a new album would be the This would be My Chemical Romance's first album in over 15 years, since the band's last studio album, Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, was released in 2010. To this date, there is no official title, release date, or timeline for the potential fifth album.
