'Zootopia 3' is Confirmed at D23

The beloved Zootopia franchise is getting another movie. Zootopia 3 is in development, and Disney itself confirmed it during D23.

We also learned that the new film will focus on birds, a species that hasn’t been explored in the previous movies. Check out the logo.

Zootopia shows a city of anthropomorphic animals that live and share the same space while following specific rules for each species, size, or behavior. Like any major metropolis, of course, it also has its problems, and that’s where a rookie police rabbit and a cynical, scheming fox need to work together to uncover a conspiracy.

In the story, detectives Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman) find themselves on the twisting trail of a mysterious reptile who arrives in Zootopia and turns the mammal metropolis upside down.

To crack the case, Judy and Nick must go undercover in unexpected new parts of the city, where their growing partnership is tested like never before.

The original voice cast of Zootopia also includes J.K. Simmons, Idris Elba, Jenny Slate, Octavia Spencer, Alan Tudyk and Shakira.

Released in 2016, the first Zootopia grossed more than $1 billion worldwide, breaking records in China.
