Sydney Sweeney Makes a 'Home Alone' Inspired Commercial

Sydney Sweeney is drawing attention by starring in a new commercial inspired by Home Alone (1990). In the ad released on the social media of Syrn, her lingerie and sleepwear brand, the actress recreates one of the most well-known scenes from the Christmas classic: the moment when Kevin McCallister, Macaulay Culkin's character, applies aftershave lotion to his face and reacts with a scream. The campaign adapts the iconic sequence to promote the brand, which is betting on the Christmas theme to promote its products.

The new campaign comes after the negative reaction to another commercial starring Sweeney in September, for the sports betting platform Novig. At the time, athletes criticized the advertisement for sexualizing women in sports and downplaying their skills and achievements.
