Peter Sanfran Gives Update on 'Swamp Thing' Feature Film
The DC character is a plant-like creature associated with terror and the protection of nature.
Taking advantage of the release of Clayface, Peter Safran, co-CEO of DC Studios, updated the development of Swamp Thing. In an interview with Deadline during the film's premiere, the executive confirmed that the script for the project is being written. "We're working on it, for sure. The script is being written right now. It's something that makes us very excited," he stated.
Announced in 2023 as part of the first projects of the new DC Universe, the film will have James Mangold (Logan) as screenwriter and director. Safran also explained that production depends on the filmmaker's availability. "All these things take time, and when you already have a filmmaker involved, you also need to wait for their availability window," he explained.
