Michael Johnston (Obsession) is reportedly in talks to be cast in the next Mummy movie. As mentioned by The InSneider, Johnston, who recently got his big break as Bear in the horror hit directed by Curry Barker, is discussing an unspecified role within the next installment of the franchise that made Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz Hollywood stars.

With Fraser and Weisz back as the iconic Rick O'Connell and Evelyn Carnahan, the untitled Mummy film is having its script written by David Coggeshall (The Family Plan 2). Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, who directed Ready or Not 2: Here I Come together, are both enlisted as directors. John Hannah is also returning as Jonathan Carnahan. 

Although no specific story details have been unveiled, the film is being marketed as a "reboot of Universal's Mummy franchise".
