'Obsession' Becomes the Fifth Highest-Grossing Horror Movie of All Time

Obsession, the original horror film from Curry Barker that surprised the world with its excellent box office performance, keeps breaking records.
According to DiscussingFilm, the feature recently became the fifth highest-grossing horror movie of all time, with more than $460 million at the worldwide box office, including $262.4 million domestically and $198.5 million from international markets.
If it surpasses $500 million at the box office, Obsession will become the biggest original film of the decade, regardless of genre. The movie was made on a budget of just $750.000.

The story follows a young romantic who decides to break the mysterious One Wish Willow to win over the person he is in love with. His wish does come true, but he soon discovers that meddling with unknown forces can bring dark and dangerous consequences.
The cast includes Michael Johnston, Inde Navarrette, Cooper Tomlinson, Megan Lawless and Andy Richter.
Obsession was acclaimed at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), screened at festivals such as Fantastic Fest, and won the Audience Award at Sitges. On Rotten Tomatoes, the film holds a 94% approval rating.
