'Michael' Star Jafaar Jackson to Lead New Film with Will Smith

After drawing attention for playing his uncle Michael Jackson in the biopic Michael, Jaafar Jackson has already lined up a new project. The actor has been cast in Supermax, a new action thriller from Amazon MGM Studios and Miramax, in which he will share the screen with Will Smith and AnnaSophia Robb. The news was revealed by Deadline. 

Details about Jaafar’s character are still under wraps, but he will have an important role in the plot, which follows two FBI agents, played by Smith and Robb, as they investigate an apparently impossible murder inside a maximum-security prison.

The film will be directed by David Gordon Green, with a screenplay by David Weil and David J. Rosen, and is slated for release directly on Prime Video, which will distribute the feature in more than 240 countries and territories.
