Netflix and Paramount End Agreement with Skydance for Animated Films

According to Deadline, Netflix and Paramount are ending their animated film deal with Skydance Animation, which was signed in 2023 and incorporated into the merger with Paramount.

Both conglomerates remain committed to releases that are already confirmed, such as Brad Bird 's Ray Gunn, as well as a feature film by Rich Moore of Jack and the Beanstalk fame.

In a joint statement, representatives from the companies said: “Netflix and Paramount have mutually agreed to conclude their animated film agreement. Both companies remain fully committed to the successful releases of Ray Gunn and the untitled Jack and the Beanstalk project on Netflix, and additionally will continue their longstanding content licensing relationship. We are proud of our collaboration to date and look forward to bringing these upcoming films to audiences around the world". 
 
It was also said that productions such as Matlock, The King of Queens, and others will continue to be licensed by Netflix.
