Kevin Feige commented for the first time on the rumors linking Adam Driver to the X-Men reboot. During an interview with journalist Josh Horowitz, the Marvel Studios president admitted that the actor has already turned down several roles in the MCU, but made it clear that the studio is still interested in working with him: "It's no secret that we'd like to have him, but it's become a tradition for us to do a video call with him and he always ends up passing", Feige said.

Driver has already been the subject of several rumors involving the X-Men reboot. Over the past few months, the actor's name has been linked to several roles, such as Magneto, Mister Sinister, and the villain William Stryker. So far, however, Marvel Studios has not confirmed Driver's involvement in the film or which character he might play.

In the comics, the X-Men are a group of people born with special abilities who face prejudice from society simply for being mutants. Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, the original lineup included Cyclops, Marvel Girl, Iceman, Beast, and Angel, along with Professor X himself. It was only many years later that more popular characters were added, such as Wolverine, Gambit, Rogue, and Storm. It is still unknown which lineup will be used in theaters.

The reboot focused on the mutants will be directed by Jake Schreier, with a script by Michael Lesslie, Lee Sung Jin and Joanna Calo. A release date has not yet been announced, but rumors point to May 2028.
