Marvel fans got their week off to a great start. The studio released the first full trailer for Avengers: Doomsday, sending expectations into the stratosphere with highlights including the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, Wakanda, and unbelievable returns.

1. Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters Destroyed

The new trailer reveals a grim reality for the mutants. The iconic Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters has been completely destroyed, and the heroes appear cornered. Professor X, Magneto, Mystique, Cyclops, and Gambit are some of the mutants seen amid the devastation.
2. New Avengers Tower

As shown in Thunderbolts*, the team officially took the place of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes after saving the city. With the new lineup living in the tower, the building’s look has also changed, and now a huge red “A” stands in its place.
3. Team meeting

In that same tower, we see the first long-awaited meeting between the new Avengers, Captain America (Sam Wilson), Thor, and the Fantastic Four — who arrived on the MCU’s main Earth during the post-credits scene of Thunderbolts*.
4. The Three Earths

At the meeting between the groups, the existence and collision of three distinct Earths will also be explained: the main one (which contains the events of the MCU timeline), the Fantastic Four’s Earth, and a third Earth where a classic version of the X-Men exists.
5. Namor's Return

Among the many surprises, the trailer revealed that Namor, the imposing ruler of Talocan, will be back in the new giant cinematic crossover.
6. Wakanda vs. Talocan

Namor's return, however, reignites the war between the people of the seas and the Wakandans. In the scene following his appearance, we see Shuri and M'Baku being brutally cornered by the prince of the oceans' army.
7. The Return of the Original Mystique

Another major highlight of the preview is the appearance of a Mystique that longtime fans know very well. The actress playing the villain in the trailer is Rebecca Romijn, who portrayed the character in the first X-Men trilogy in the early 2000s. She returns alongside the original cast of Fox’s mutants.
8. Shang-Chi vs. Gambit

A fight that absolutely no one saw coming was a showdown between Shang-Chi and Gambit. The characters clash in a fierce battle in the trailer. The scene likely shows the MCU heroes arriving in the mutants' reality shortly after Xavier's School was destroyed by Doctor Doom.
9. Steve Rogers and Thor

The big nostalgic highlight is the emotional reunion of Steve Rogers and Thor. After deciding to live in the past with the love of his life in Endgame, the original Captain America passed on the shield and retired. However, the threat forced him to return to save the world one more time alongside his old battle companions.
10. Thor vs. Doom

The biggest moment of the preview was, without a doubt, the clash between Thor and Doctor Doom. It’s not possible to say when or in which universe the characters crossed paths, but the God of Thunder charges at the villain with Stormbreaker, only to have his attack shamefully blocked by his enemy with ease.
