John Mulaney in Talks to Star in Reboot of Classic Series 'Get Smart'

The iconic spies who defined an era are making a big comeback to the big screen! While James Bond gets ready for a new adventure, another classic agent is also heading back to theaters: Maxwell Smart. According to Deadline, John Mulaney is in talks to star in a new take on the satirical character.
The project is in early development at Warner Bros., with Seth Grahame-Smith handling the script. Charles Roven and Andrew Lazar will produce the feature.
The Get Smart franchise was created by American comedians Mel Brooks and Buck Henry in the 1960s. The original series premiered in 1965 and starred Don Adams as Maxwell Smart. In 2008, the franchise got a film adaptation starring Steve Carell in the lead role, alongside Anne Hathaway and Dwayne Johnson.
