Evans will play Amy, with Moss as Hannah and Laurie as Meg , “three young people whose documentary about the disappearance of Amy’s older sister leads them to the Pendle Hill area, a location associated with the 1612 witch trials in Great Britain,” which resulted in the hanging of ten people convicted of witchcraft.

The production will be filmed on location, with photography beginning in September. Liam Bashford said: “Growing up in Lancashire, the story of the Pendle Witches was always present around us. There’s something special about Pendle itself — the landscape, the isolation, and the history that permeates the place. It’s been with us since childhood. We didn’t want to recreate 1612; we wanted to investigate what might still exist there today.”

Kyle Bashford added: “It was also extremely important for us to make a feature film here in our homeland. There’s a lot of filmmaking talent in the Northwest, and we want to show that it’s possible to produce ambitious independent films here in Lancashire.”
