Will 'Black Torch' Have a Second Season? Find Out Everything

The Black Torch anime has come to an end with 12 episodes, fully adapting the original manga. To mark the conclusion, creator Tsuyoshi Takaki shared a special sketch of the main trio on social media.

The series, which premiered in the summer 2026 programming schedule, is a rare case of revival. Takaki's manga was canceled eight years ago, after only 19 chapters and five volumes, and received a TV adaptation that covered all existing material. The anime is available on Crunchyroll.

Based on the manga by Tsuyoshi Takaki, the series blends ninja action with supernatural elements from Japanese folklore. It was published by Shueisha and distributed internationally by VIZ Media.

The story follows Jiro Azuma, a young man of ninja descent who can communicate with animals. His life changes when he encounters a mysterious cat named Rago, who is actually a powerful entity known as the "Black Star of Ruin."

Since the original manga was exhausted after 12 episodes, a continuation is unlikely.
