Everything You Need to Know About 'Solo Leveling' Live-Action Cast

The live-action adaptation of Solo Leveling is getting closer and closer, and the list below brings together all the actors already confirmed or currently in talks for the cast, along with the characters they will play. Check it out below.

Byeon Woo-seok as Sung Jin-woo

Who is the actor? In 2023, he became one of the most in-demand K-drama stars after the success of Lovely Runner (on Viki), a romance in which he played the singer whom the protagonist (Kim Hye-yoon) travels back in time to try to save. He then went on to star in one of the biggest hits of 2026 in the genre: The Perfect Crown (on Disney+), where he starred opposite IU.
Who is the character? The protagonist of Solo Leveling has a unique trait compared to everyone else in the universe: he can evolve. Born into a world where people’s abilities are predetermined, the character started out as Korea’s weakest hunter, struggling to take on even the simplest monsters in the manhwa. However, after surviving a secret chamber, he was granted access to the “system,” which allowed him to grow stronger by training or defeating monsters.
Han So-hee as Cha Hae-in

Who is the actress? First introduced in The World of the Married (on Prime Video), Han has already shown tremendous versatility, taking on romantic leads — in Nevertheless (on Netflix) — and series with brutal action scenes — in My Name (on Netflix). Another recent project was Gyeongseong Creature (on Netflix), alongside Park Seo-joon.
Who is the character? Cha Hae-in was the first S-rank hunter to appear in the story — but her powers were only revealed later. She is introduced while chasing a thief who had just stolen an elderly woman's purse, and the scene offers a few clues about the character’s ability. Reluctantly known as “the dancer,” Cha uses light, precise movements to attack, with strikes as beautiful as dance steps. She is the only woman with this level of power in Korea.
Kang You-seok as Yoo Jin-ho

Who is the actor? A fan favorite among boys’ love fans (Asian series with LGBTQIAPN+ themes), thanks to his work in Light on Me (on Viki and KOCOWA+), Kang gained even more attention in 2025 with supporting roles in the hit series When Life Gives You Tangerines... (on Netflix) and Resident Playbook (on Netflix).
Who is the character? Who hasn’t met that extremely incompetent person who still gets every opportunity life has to offer thanks to their family’s name and influence? That’s Jin-ho’s case, a major ally and friend of the protagonist. Even though he is a D-rank hunter, the second weakest rank, he leads several portal raids and always uses the best equipment thanks to his family’s money. But don’t be fooled by appearances—Jin-ho is a charismatic sweetheart who will win you over!
Rain as Baek Yoon-ho

Who is the actor? A K-pop legend, Rain made his mark on Korea’s music industry with iconic hits like “Rainism” and “It’s Raining” before branching out into acting as well. The success of Full House (on Netflix and KOCOWA+) and Ghost Doctor (on Netflix and Viki) established him in k-dramas, while on the big screen he worked with Park Chan-wook in I’m a Cyborg, But That’s OK and broke into Hollywood with Speed Racer (on Netflix and HBO Max).
Who is the character? Baek is the influential guild master of the White Tiger Guild and one of the S-rank hunters who appears in the flashback to the failed Jeju Island raid in the very first episode of the anime. His main power is literally transforming into a half-man, half-tiger monster with superhuman strength, agility, and reflexes, along with an instinct that allows him to gauge the strength of magical monsters.
Lee Sung-min as Go Gun-hee

Who is the actor? A veteran of South Korean theater who rose to prominence on screen a bit later in his career. His work in the K-dramas Misaeng (on Netflix) and Reborn Rich (on Viki) earned him Baeksang Arts Awards, one of Korea’s most prestigious honors. The film The Spy Gone North (on Prime Video) is another important credit on his résumé.
Who is the character? He is one of the most influential men in Korea. Go Gunhee is the chairman of the Hunters Association, the regulatory body that oversees hunters’ activities in South Korea while also maintaining the balance of power between the guilds. Despite his advanced age, he is also one of the country’s strongest hunters and one of the first to awaken as an S-rank hunter.
