Netflix K-Drama 'The Scandal' Gets Trailer and Release Date

Netflix has released the first trailer for The Scandal, a period k-drama starring Ji Chang-wook (The Manipulated) and Son Ye-jin (Crash Landing on You). Check out the preview above.

The platform also took the opportunity to unveil beautiful posters for the production—see them below—and announce the premiere date for September 18.

Inspired by Dangerous Liaisons, the classic by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos that has been adapted countless times for film and TV, The Scandal follows Lady Cho (Son Ye-jin), a woman skilled in the art of deception, who makes a risky bet with Cho-won (Ji Chang-wook), considered Joseon’s greatest womanizer.

The cast also includes Nana (Oh My Girl, Climax) as Hui-yeon, the naive young woman Cho-won is challenged to seduce. Scandal and Intrigue is directed by Jung Ji-woo (Somebody).
