Pikachu Is Sent Into Space in a Pokémon Company Sunt

Pikachu is now an astronaut! The world's most famous Pokémon went to space in a joint effort by the European Space Agency and The Pokémon Company , orbiting the Earth for 67 days before returning to our planet.

The entire adventure was documented in a short video starring astronaut Sophie Adenot, who explained how Pikachu would accompany her in some scientific experiments and also in the training of new astronauts.

This initiative brings visibility to World Space Week, which this year will unite real science with the world of Pokémon. More details about the collaboration will be revealed soon.

World Space Week takes place between October 4th and 10th, and its event in Pokémon GO has already been announced: Astronaut Pikachu can be found in Raids, and a temporary research also guarantees an encounter with the electric monster in its new outfit.
