'Silo' Creator Says Season 3 Finale Is One of the Works He’s Most Proud Of
Graham Yost compares the final episodes to works like Band of Brothers and reveals a dream come true with Peter Gabriel

The third season of Silo came to an end this Friday (4). And this final episode, along with last week’s, ranks among the works Graham Yost is most proud of in his career. The creator and showrunner of the Apple TV series spoke about the ending in an exclusive interview with Omelete:
“It’s not a matter of false humility or modesty, but when I watched the last two episodes directed by Amber [Templemore, director of the season’s final episodes, “Farewell” and “Troy”]... Of all the fiction I’ve ever worked on — compared with Band of Brothers, The Pacific or From the Earth to the Moon — having my name on those two episodes is something I’m immensely proud of”, he said.
Yost also especially highlighted the performances of two actors who went through a long and important arc in the show’s third season: “The final episode, in particular... The work Ashley Zukerman does as the former Daniel, now Troy, and Matt Craven as Victor is moving and wonderful.”
The final stretch of the season also allowed Yost to fulfill an old dream: “One of the biggest dreams of my life was to have Peter Gabriel in the series and spend a day with him, which was incredible”, he said.
The British artist’s music appears at an important moment in Daniel and Helen’s (Jessica Henwick) story, when the series finally begins connecting the characters’ past to the emergence of the silos.

Created by Graham Yost and based on the books by Hugh Howey, Silo follows a society of around 10,000 people living in a massive underground structure, unaware of humanity’s true history or what made the outside world seemingly uninhabitable.
Rebecca Ferguson plays Juliette Nichols and also serves as an executive producer. The cast also includes Common, Harriet Walter, Alexandria Riley, Ashley Zukerman, Jessica Henwick and Tim Robbins.
The first three seasons of Silo are available on Apple TV. A fourth season has already been confirmed and will bring the series to a close.
