DreamWorks' 'The Forgotten Island' Stands Against AI Usage in Modern World

The first screenings of The Forgotten Island delivered a message against the use of generative AI, and also about the possibility of using the film for training on tools that use the technology.

In the credits, the message appears: "This work cannot be used to train AI," showing that DreamWorks has taken legal action to prevent the film from being used in this way.

In the story, two friends, Jo (HER) and Raissa (Liza Soberano), end up trapped on a mystical island inspired by Filipino folklore and must find a way back home, even if it comes at a high emotional cost.

Distributed by Universal Pictures, the premiere is scheduled for September 25th in U.S. theaters.
