'Street Fighter' Live-Action Gets a New Trailer; Watch Here

The new live-action Street Fighter movie got a brand-new trailer this Tuesday, revealing more details about the plot. Watch above.

The cast of Street Fighter is packed with names ranging from surprising to inspired. Actor and martial artist Andrew Koji (Bullet Train) will play Ryu, while Noah Centineo (The Recruit) takes on the role of Ken. David Dastmalchian (The Suicide Squad) will play the villain M. Bison, and Jason Momoa (Dune) will portray the Brazilian character Blanka.

Also in the cast are two WWE stars: Roman Reigns as Akuma and Cody Rhodes as Guile. Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson will play the boxer Balrog, while Callina Liang (Presence) has been cast as Chun-Li. Vidut Jammwal will be Dhalsim, singer Orville Peck is Vega, and comedian Andrew Schultz has been cast as Dan Hibiki.

When does the Street Fighter movie premiere?

The film is set to premiere on October 16, 2026. It is being produced by Legendary, the same studio behind Dune and Godzilla. Paramount Pictures will handle distribution.

Launched in 1987, the Street Fighter franchise has already sold more than 50 million units worldwide across multiple platforms. The latest game in the saga featuring characters like Ryu, Ken, and Chun-Li, Street Fighter 6, was released on June 2, 2023, and became one of the biggest successes in the genre.

On the big screen, the franchise has had less luck: the films Street Fighter (1994) and Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li (2009) were not box office successes, despite featuring stars like Jean-Claude Van Damme and Michael Clarke Duncan in the cast.
