'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' Gets a Release Date on Digital Platforms

The film will be available for rental and purchase in October.

After breaking box office records worldwide, Spider-Man: Brand New Day can finally be enjoyed in the comfort of your home.  

With the highest grossing film in the franchise's history, having earned approximately US$2.5 billion worldwide, the new production starring Tom Holland arrives on digital platforms on October 6th and will be available for purchase or rental on services such as Prime Video, iTunes, Google Play, Vudu.

Physical versions will arrive on November 17th in formats 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD. The release date on subscription streaming services has not yet been confirmed, but since distribution is handled by Sony Pictures , the path will be different from the standard for Marvel films.

In addition to Tom Holland returning as the protagonist, Jacob Batalon will once again play Ned, and Zendaya returns for the new Spider-Man film as MJ. New additions to the cast include Sadie Sink (Stranger Things).

Another confirmed cast member is Jon Bernthal as the Punisher, marking the hero's debut in Marvel films. In addition, Mark Ruffalo is in the film as the Hulk.

Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) is directing the project. Erik Sommers and Chris McKenna, who wrote the screenplay for Spider-Man: No Way Home, are also responsible for the film.
