Zelda Williams Criticizes Fake AI-Generated Video of Father Robin Williams

Zelda Williams has once again spoken out against the use of artificial intelligence to recreate the image and voice of her father, Robin William . In a post on X this Monday (21), the actor's daughter and director of Lisa Frankenstein harshly criticized those who share a video of the actor that is circulating on the internet.

She began by saying that the material "is clearly AI, and not even a particularly convincing AI." According to Zelda, anyone who believes the video "clearly watched his films on mute, because that voice is robotic and terrible." Then, she addressed the creator of the content directly: "A human made a robot create that, and to that person I say: leave them out of this delusional crap and let them rest."

The director also questioned the motivation behind the creation. "If you can't defend your cause without having a dead person defend it more convincingly for you, then tell me: who is manipulating the public through the media now?"

Zelda admitted that she hates the platform. "It's basically bots and people being tricked by bots at this point, so I don't know why I feel the need to come back and clarify, but I love it, so I'm going to do it." She ended with a direct message. "Just because he's gone doesn't mean he's now your puppet. Shame on you."

Robin Williams died in 2014 at the age of 63, and his image has become a frequent target of AI recreations. This isn't the first time Zelda has addressed the topic. In October 2025, she asked on Instagram for people to stop sending her such videos. "Stop believing that I want to see this or that I'll understand, I don't want to and I won't," she wrote at the time. "If you have any decency, stop doing this to him and to me, to everyone, period."
