Omelete exclusively reveals the official poster for Dead Man's Wire, the new film from filmmaker Gus Van Sant, featuring a cast that includes Al Pacino, Colman Domingo, Bill Skarsgård, and Dacre Montgomery. Check it out below.
The feature recreates the episode that took place on February 8, 1977, in Indianapolis, when real estate developer Tony Kiritsis carried out one of the most surreal crimes in American history.
Synopsis: In 1977, a ruined businessman storms into the office of a mortgage company and takes an executive hostage using a shotgun connected to his own neck by a mechanism that will fire if he is killed. Inspired by a real case that brought the United States to a standstill, the film follows hours of tension, negotiations, and the growing media attention surrounding one of the most unusual kidnappings in history.
Screenwriter Austin Kolodney developed the story with support from documentary filmmakers Alan Berry and Mark Enochs, creators of Dead Man's Line (2018), who extensively researched the case and served as historical consultants on the feature.
